2023-2024 EMT to Paramedic Course

Time:  8 am to 5 pm, Thursdays

Location:  United Training Center, 338 East Avenue, Lewiston, ME 04240

Cost: $13,500 (Price includes all textbooks, online learning program, online testing and clinical platform, two polo shirts, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS and PIFT certifications).

$200 Application fee (non-refundable)

$1,500 Course Deposit (non-refundable)

This is a certificate Paramedic program designed for currently licensed EMT or Advanced EMTs. You must hold a current, valid EMT or AEMT license to start this course.

Program Dates:

Class will be held every Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and occasional pre-scheduled Saturdays.  Clinical/Field time will run concurrent with the course and you will be given 60 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical/field experiences.

A college level Anatomy & Physiology course (no lab required) is necessary prior to beginning this course*. An official transcript is required to be submitted to the Training Center to complete your application package. You must have a “C” or better to meet this requirement. We do accept some online A&P courses, please contact United Training Center for more information.

A valid Basic Life Support CPR card is required to attend this course.

United Training Center does not allow advanced placement into this program.

The educational format for this class is primarily classroom learning.  There will be homework assignments that involve online      quizzes, videos and online reading assignments.  A laptop computer and internet access are required for this course.

 

A $200 non-refundable application processing fee is due at time of registration.

Once you register for the class, you will receive an application packet and immunization forms within 15 days.  An interview and pre-test are required before acceptance to the program. Instructions for registering for an interview will be included in the application packet.

Once accepted into the program, your enrollment is not confirmed until we receive the $1,500 student deposit.  Payments can be made from the emailed invoice.

United Training Center does not issue college credit for this program.  College credit may be achieved through articulation agreements.  Please contact us for more information.
