You MUST be licensed at the EMT level to start this course.
Students who successfully complete this course are eligible to sit for the National Registry Advanced EMT Exam.
This is a fast-paced course, utilizing an online platform to enhance learning and classroom activities. Internet access is required as part of successful completion of this course. Each class will consist of lecture in the morning and lab in the afternoon.
Students can expect to spend a minimum of 12-16 hours per week doing the required reading and assignments.
All students attending this course must have a Covid Vaccine
Class will meet on the following Wednesdays, from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

September: 6, 13, 20, 27
October: 4, 11, 18, 25
November: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
December: 6, 13, 20
NREMT Psychomotor and Written Exam fees are not included in the cost of this course. NREMT PSE and Cognitive Exams are not offered on site, must be scheduled by the student once cleared for testing.
Clinical will run concurrent with the course and you will be given an additional 60 days after the last day of class to finish up any incomplete clinical experiences. A minimum of 150 clinical hours are required. Additional clinical time may be required to complete the clinical objectives.
United’s Education Division is a Maine-EMS approved Training Center.
United Training Center does not issue college credit for this program. College credit may be achieved through articulation agreements. Please contact us for more information.
This program is supported by the Maine Jobs & Recovery Plan. After registration and deposit, the remaining cost will be funded for each eligible student. To discuss additional supports to eliminate barriers to participation in this training, contact healthcaretrainingforme.dol@maine.gov .
Once your registration has been accepted, you will receive an emailed invoice from Quickbooks in the amount of $300 for the non-refundable Course Deposit. The balance must be paid prior to the start date of the course. Payments can be made from the emailed invoice.
Within a month of the start date of the course, you will receive class specific information via email that will include immunization forms.

Refunds/Payments: Full refunds will only be issued in the event of course cancellation or prior to the “Official Start Date”. Full payment must be received within two (2) weeks of the start of class.
